I’m glad someone else on here realizes this is not a very good quality knife. I own one of SOG Seal ELites (the full size version of the pup elite) with AUS-8 steel. It’s okay, but it is really not worth the money. For the price I could have bought a better American made knife, with at least D2 steel.

They literally do. I have seen photos of SEALs carrying them. They aren’t official kit, but they are definitely bought and used by SEALs and other special operators in the field. There is even at least on SEAL Pup in the US Navy SEALs museum in Florida.

They also use SOG, Ka-bar or just about anything else. They are not confined to a specific brand.

BS! the coating doesn’t strengthen anything. It’s just there to protect the blade from corrosion and to make it non-reflective.

Made out of titanium they also have A@ steel, made in the USA. They also make titanium mine probes.

Benchmade…….very well made, very tuff and awesome blade….100% made in the USA, because I have ordered a few directly from them and spoken with them at Benchmade direct. Some knives are made when you order them. You could also buy a D2 billet….or S90V billet and try forging your own blade…..

So wrong. Kah-bar and Ontario (just to name a couple) are made in the good ol USA. Not saying the SOG isnt a fine knife, but if im going to buy a knife to trust my life on post shtf situation it will be USA made.

I don’t think the SEALs use it… I’m pretty sure they use Mark III Mod 0 or Ka Bar USN combat knife…
