It is 2020 it began with Iran / US tensions rising , followed by modern day pandemic then the the protests….your words in fact have come to pass B L M protests ended with some n looting, riots, arson, shootings and total anarchy. The U.S accelerated spending during this time is worrisome and the economy is shaky . Second wave is supposed to happen so it will shake an already shaking economy. Top economist are saying economic collapse within one year. Sometimes, the U.S is skilled and may pull a rabbit out of a hat so we will see what sort of move they will make a new currency will emerge . The best case scenario is get out of debt find a nice small community one hour out of the city, three miles off the highways and have a garden. green house, get some chicken I read this from an highly trained veteran never ever trust anyone that is too friendly or too helpful it is good to be polite, and keep it light but do not trust people that you do not know, no matter what It is good to have neighbors , especially family and good friends close if possible .Some communities will survive without issue because they know how to. the cities will have marital law

Ditto. I am not usually a believer in non scientific approaches but I have an unnerving feeling we are on the precipice. I saw someone mentioned Zeitgeist. The creator of that movement has said the world has never faced running out of resources. We are heading to running out of several simultaneously I.e water, oil, food for the masses etc
