Do Ham operators only have access to other Ham operators or can you access CB communications, police scanners and other forms of communication like weather and emergency alerts etc? thank you!

legally tweaked?
REALLY?
if your going to peek and tsweak your radio, GO FOR IT. As a norm the FCC dosent care about CB frequencies as long as your not bothering others.
GO FOR IT!

There are 5 miles of dead zone in treacherous conditions. I have little/no knowledge of CB radios and walkie talkies don’t cut it. Do you think it would be an effective way to communicate in those 5 miles with mountains in between or would it not suffice either?! Looking at the cobras. Thank you!

The CB community is growing in Germany at the moment so you find a lot of people on specific channels. Using the Albrecht together with a magnetic CBMaster Antenna and it works great for me, even with my car. Depending on where I am located while driving my car I can hear people 20 kilometers away which is like 12-15 miles i guess.

Well I can talk 20 miles on mine, 2o miles in all directions , so lets say that is a square of 40 miles X 40 MILES, that is 1600 square miles of coverage. That is a lot of ground covered.
