This is a review of the single wall, so probably not. Don’t ever put an insulated bottle in a fire!

Have you tried water with ice if it really last more than 48 hours?

correct — I just bought one in 2020 and the directions inside say “do not heat with microwave, oven, stovetop or fire.” It is a 40 oz single wall.

When i got my stainless water bottle. I found a can that it would nest in. Put a bail on the can. I always have a quart freezer ziplock. Then i took an old jeans pant leg, and made a bag for them to fit in. I use the ziplock to get the water out of the lake, creek or wherever. I boil the water in the can and pour it into my bottle. This way the stainless bottle only has clean purified water in it. Plus the can is another container to cook in. If it needs replaced, i get to eat a 32 oz. can of peaches. Thanks for the fun read.

It does say not to boil, written directions inside the bottle. One wouldn’t know that just looking at the bottle and directions on the outside.

“Do not heat in microwave, oven, stovetop or fire”

That said, I think they are referring to the entire bottle with lid included.

Privates is spelled like you see it here. Yes, Kleen Kanteen makes several 32 oz. bottles.

one thing i use is to wrap a wire around the screw-top with a swinging handle attached to it…(sorta like a bucket’s handle) this way i can easily use my knife to place and remove the bottle out of the hot coals with burning myself ANYmore…
brass wire seems to last the longest.

all my best to all!

No military issue the plastic ones because the government is cheap and knows that dumb Privets will lose them on the first day. No one actually uses the cup.
