Instead of regular satellites, hasn’t there been talk of low earth satellites that are tethered to the ground? Wonder if this would also be an option.

In reply to Antibubba. We already have Sat phones. Delay is too great to have good phone conversation - so cell towers will be the best unless some remote places need Sat.

In reply to OkieRim. I agree. This is too good to be true for preppers who want some autonomy when any devastating event happens. A great idea though but easy to shoot out of the sky or disable by PTB.

Not gonna happen. 4K satellites, no way that the gov doesn’t stick their paws into this and muck it up. Gov will want access to these when the SHTF for their own resources (even if their stuff still works, gov knows that you cant have too much bandwidth.
