A few years to adapt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But agentic AI creates a different possibility: a compressed timeline where the \u201clearning curve\u201d becomes irrelevant for huge sections of white-collar work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If a system can draft, analyze, revise, and deliver work product at a level that\u2019s \u201cgood enough,\u201d then the labor market doesn\u2019t need AI to be perfect. It needs AI to be cheaper and fast \u2014 and in many workflows, it already is.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stop expecting loyalty from institutions that don\u2019t even pretend to offer it anymore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n A public company has one real religion: Money. If cutting 8% of staff makes the numbers look good to investors, they\u2019ll do it and call it leadership. If replacing a team with an AI subscription makes margins jump, they\u2019ll do it and call it innovation. And if it wrecks the lives of thousands of people, they\u2019ll call it \u201ca difficult decision\u201d and move on to the next slide deck.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Every major collapse in history had the same pattern. Too much debt. Too much leverage. Too much confidence that \u201cthis time is different.\u201d Rome diluted its currency. The 1930s wiped out families overnight. In 2008, people went to bed thinking they were fine and woke up watching banks implode on live TV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And right now?
